Mexican food not only for the Cinco De Mayo celebration
You do not have to be Mexican to enjoy the fabulous Mexican food and festivities of Cinco de Mayo. The holiday (literally translated “May 5”) reminds to the victory of the Mexican army over French troops at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
Every year, on May 5, the Mexican holiday “Cinco de Mayo” is celebrated. The holiday is of course celebrated solemnly in Pueblo, but does not mean much to the rest of Mexico.
Nevertheless, “Cinco de Mayo” is becoming increasingly popular in America, thanks mainly to the Mexican-American culture. The Mexican food served on this day is not always 100% authentic Mexican, but shows the love for Mexican traditions and ingredients
